  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease or line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter with sugars until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Add vanilla and beat until combined.
  5. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add to mixing bowl and mix till combined.
  6. Next, I pull the whisk off the mixer and add the next ingredients by hand with a strong spatula or wooden spoon. Add more chips or more M&M's® if you like.
  7. Lastly, I add in the rice cereal, but do not over mix. Add to the fridge for about 15 minutes to rest and harden up.
  8. With an ice cream scoop, measure out even scoops onto your baking sheet. I typically only do one sheet at a time in the oven, so that each baking sheet has time to cool off in between batches.
  9. Cook for 10 minutes on 375 degrees or until golden brown and the edges start getting a little bit crispy. Take out of the oven and leave on the baking sheet for about 2 minutes so the cookies have time to rest, then transfer to a baking rack.
